For Visit Columbus’ event weekend, Explore the Haunting Beauty of Columbus, neonFROG designed a poster and rack card to promote a series of history-rich experiences, including an antique show and sale, haunting home tours, and more. Anchored by the iconic Weeping Angel of Friendship Cemetery, the designs invite visitors to step into the city’s past and discover its stories, architecture, and timeless charm.
We leaned into the theme of “haunting beauty” by blending historic elegance with a sense of intrigue. The Weeping Angel served as the focal point of the poster, immediately establishing mood and drawing viewers in with a sense of mystery and reverence.
Rich, moody tones, layered textures, and classic typography helped evoke a feeling of stepping back in time, while still maintaining clarity and readability. The rack card complemented the poster by organizing key event details—like home tours and the antique show—into an easy-to-follow format, ensuring the experience felt both immersive and accessible.
The final pieces created a compelling and cohesive visual identity for the event weekend, balancing atmosphere with functionality. The poster captured attention through its striking imagery and emotional tone, while the rack card provided a practical guide for attendees to navigate the weekend’s offerings.
